Gay penguin book shakes up Illinois school
"A picture book about two male penguins raising a baby penguin is getting a chilly reception among some parents in this village who worry about the book's availability to elementary students — and the reluctance of administrators to restrict access to it. "
Apparently this book has had the same difficult reception elsewhere in the USA, as I learned at Nuit Blanche Toronto.
I sadly missed that Nuit Blanche installation. I had planned to see it, but then I had planned to a see a lot I didn’t get to that night. Can’t wait until next year.
