Hey Mark,

I just wanted to say that I enjoyed your presentation at mesh last month. I'll probably be looking over your slides again later today...sorry it took me so long to get back here!

Cheers,

JpK, it is still early and it remains to be seen how much of the Metronauts content ends up influencing the final Regional Transportation Plan.

But what is already clear is that Metrolinx is getting insights that simply aren't available elsewhere. For example, one major insight is the way that people think about the traveller experience and how different users think about it than planners. This is a big theme which shows up in many ways, but it has the potential to introduce a "human-centric" design philosophy into the planning process that would otherwise not have surfaced.

How this insight might transfer into concrete change on the ground remains to be seen. But the potential is truly transformational in how planners look at the customer experience.

Mark, thanks for sharing this. I was not able to attend the presentation. I'll be honest, this all seems very abstract. Can you give me some concrete example of improvements that have resulted from this approach?
